Packaging & fill level concernsUpdated 8 months ago

We are currently trialling some new packaging options, which may effect the fill level of different products across the range. We apologise for any concern this has caused, but you will always receive the stated amount of powder in weight and servings - regardless of the fill level or packaging (plus a little extra to be sure!) 💚

Please read on for some further information. Our packaging and fill levels should be more consistent in the coming months, but we hope this helps to explain in the meantime 🙏

  • My product seems to have a raised base / false bottom, why?

To be as efficient as possible with the packaging we have, we use the same size tube for all of our blends.

Our products contain very different ingredients, which come in a range of weights & densities, so its to be expected that they will not all fill a 200g container to the same level.

Our 100% natural ingredients also settle over time, as we do not add any bulking agents or emulsifiers etc. Some of our blends may include a larger base at the bottom of the tube, which is only to ensure that the powder does not sit too far down inside the container after settling - and also to provide a more consistent fill level across the range.

  • My products are the same weight but have different fill levels, why?

We are currently trialling some packaging updates with our supplier, and there have been some slightly bigger adjustments than we expected. This has meant that some tubes contain a slightly bigger base than others, which gives the impression of a different fill level.

Our blends also contain very different ingredients, which have different densities. For example, 50g chia seeds (Berry Beauty) would take up more space than 50g cacao powder (Coco Dream) as chia seeds are bulkier and larger in size, whereas cacao powder is very fine and less dense, so occupies less space.

Please don’t worry though, you will always receive the correct weight of product in grams and servings, as displayed on the website & packaging. We are required to have all of our weighing equipment audited frequently which involves regular testing to ensure 100% accuracy. This means that tubes will be filled to the exact amount or just slightly over (by 0.5g-1g), but never under.

  • The fill level of my product has changed since my last order, why?

We are currently trialling some packaging updates with our supplier, which means that you may have received the same product in the past - but in different packaging. As some of our newer packaging contains a slightly higher raised base, this may give the impression of a different fill level. However, there have been no changes to the recipe, weight of product or amount of servings.

Whilst we trial some of the new packaging alongside working through our existing stock, you may receive variations in packaging for the same product(s) - we are working hard to make this more consistent and appreciate your patience in the meantime.

Again, whichever packaging you receive you will always get the correct weight of product in grams and servings, as displayed on the website & packaging.

  • My product is not full - why?

To be as efficient as possible with the packaging we have, we use the same size tube for all of our blends. Our products contain very different ingredients, which come in a range of weights (150g - 180g) & densities, so its to be expected that they will not all fill a 200g container to the same level.

We don’t use any fillers or bulking agents, so the powders do naturally settle over time. Some of our blends may include a larger base at the bottom of the tube, which is only to ensure that the powder does not sit too far down inside the container after settling.

Once again you can always expect to receive the correct weight - our industrial scales are calibrated regularly throughout the day for consistency, and we do also slightly overfill each tube for good measure.

Please note: On our packaging you will find an 'e' logo displayed next to the weight, which is a declaration that the contents comply with the Weights & Measures Regulations 2006 for packaged goods. This means that the average weight of the contents will always be qual to, or more than, the weight displayed - but never below.
